SUMMARY:Volunteering Open Day
DESCRIPTION:Discover Volunteering at Arundells\nFollowing the success of our spring Volunteer Open Day, we’re delighted to once again open our doors to anyone interested in becoming part of the Arundells community.\nVolunteering at Arundells is about much more than giving your time. It’s about sharing ideas, meeting people, learning new skills, and helping to care for one of Salisbury’s most distinctive historic homes.\nOn Wednesday 5 August, from 10.00am to 1.00pm, we’re inviting prospective volunteers to join us for a relaxed and informal Open Day. Come and meet the team, explore the house and gardens, and find out more over tea, coffee and homemade cake.\nA wider range of opportunities\nThis time, we’re looking to welcome volunteers across a much broader range of roles. Whether you enjoy working with people, prefer something behind the scenes, or would like to contribute your creative or practical skills, there may be a place for you at Arundells.\nWe are currently looking for volunteers interested in:\n– House Stewarding\n– Gardening and helping care for the beautiful riverside gardens\n– Back office and administrative support\n– Marketing and social media\n– Writing content for our blog and digital platforms\n– Event stewarding and helping us deliver a varied programme of events\nWhy volunteer at Arundells?\nOur volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Volunteering here offers the opportunity to:\n– Spend time in a remarkable historic house in the Cathedral Close\n– Meet visitors from around the world\n– Engage with history, politics, art, music and culture\n– Learn new skills and share existing ones\n– Become part of a friendly and supportive community\nYou don’t need prior experience for most roles, enthusiasm, curiosity and reliability are far more important. Full support and guidance will be provided, and volunteering can fit flexibly around your other commitments.\nCome and find out more\nWhether you’re already considering volunteering or simply curious about what’s involved, we’d love to welcome you along. The Open Day is designed to be informal and friendly, with plenty of opportunity to chat to current volunteers and staff about the different ways to get involved.\n📍 Arundells, 59 Cathedral Close, Salisbury\n📅 Wednesday 5 August\n🕙 10.00am–1.00pm\nWe look forward to welcoming you to Arundells.\nCan’t make the Open Day?\nIf you’re interested in volunteering but can’t attend on the day, we’d still love to hear from you. Our Volunteer Coordinator, Daniel, ( daniel@arundells.org ) is always happy to talk through what volunteering involves and answer any questions.\n \n
