SUMMARY:Volunteering Open Day
DESCRIPTION:Discover Volunteering at Arundells\n\nAs we prepare to reopen for the 2027 season, we’re delighted to invite anyone interested in volunteering at Arundells to join us for a special Volunteer Open Day.\nThere is no better time to get involved, as we make the final preparations to welcome visitors back to the house and gardens following our winter closure.\nVolunteering at Arundells is about much more than giving your time. It is an opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills, share your interests, and help care for one of Salisbury’s most distinctive historic homes.\nOn Wednesday 17 March 2027, from 10.00am to 1.00pm, prospective volunteers are invited to join us for a relaxed and informal morning. Come and meet the team, explore the house and gardens, and find out more over tea, coffee and refreshments.\nA Wide Range of Opportunities\nWhether you enjoy working with people, prefer something behind the scenes, or would like to contribute your creative or practical skills, there may be a place for you at Arundells.\nWe are currently looking for volunteers interested in:\n\nHouse Stewarding\nGardening and helping care for our beautiful riverside gardens\nBack-office and administrative support\nMarketing and social media\nWriting content for our blog and digital platforms\nEvent stewarding and helping us deliver a varied programme of talks, concerts and exhibitions\n\n\n\n\nWhy Volunteer at Arundells?\nOur volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Volunteering here offers the opportunity to:\n\nSpend time in a remarkable historic house in the Cathedral Close\nMeet visitors from around the world\nEngage with history, politics, art, music and culture\nLearn new skills and share existing ones\nBecome part of a friendly and supportive community\n\nYou do not need prior experience for most roles. Enthusiasm, curiosity and reliability are far more important. Full support and guidance will be provided, and volunteering can fit flexibly around your other commitments.\n\nCome and Find Out More\nWhether you are already considering volunteering or simply curious about what is involved, we would love to welcome you along. The Open Day is designed to be informal and friendly, with plenty of opportunity to chat with current volunteers and staff about the different ways to get involved.\n📍 Arundells, 59 Cathedral Close, Salisbury\n📅 Wednesday 17 March 2027\n🕙 10.00am-1.00pm\nWe look forward to welcoming you to Arundells.\nCan’t Make the Open Day?\nIf you are interested in volunteering but cannot attend on the day, we would still love to hear from you.
