Get Out Get Active (‘GOGA’) Gardening Group
Every Wednesday 11am – 3pm.
Arundells Community Garden is tended by a small group of friendly garden enthusiasts who self-guide the group activity together and work as a team once a week on a Wednesday from 11-3pm.
The group enjoy the green care / well-being benefits of the community garden. They think about and initiate their own weekly activities to suit the mood of the day, the time of year and gardening calendar. They also tend the space to carefully provide habitat and foraging opportunities for wildlife.
The garden is a fully inclusive, wheelchair accessible space and can accommodate people with a wide range of access needs. The group is supported by a ‘Get Out Get Active’ (GOGA) facilitator who can offer some help and support to those who would like to improve their fitness, flexibility and mobility by moving more in a way that is right for them.
The numbers in the GOGA group are capped to ten people, so that everyone can get the most out of the gardening activities and enjoy the tranquillity of the beautiful walled kitchen garden space.
