Alastair Stewart is one of the most famous faces on British television. He joined Southern Television in 1976, then ITN in 1980 as Industrial Correspondent. Between 1983-1986 he was a reporter and presenter for Channel Four News, going on to become a main newsreader with ITV News. His 35-year stint in that role saw him become the longest-serving male newsreader on British television, having worked in both local and national news for 44 years. Between 1996 and 2001 he presented Alastair Stewart’s Sunday Programme on GMTV. As a presenter for ITV News, he won the News Presenter of the Year award from the Royal Television Society in both 2004 and 2005. In 2010 he moderated the first-ever live election debate between the main party leaders and, between 2021 and 2023, he hosted a weekend show on GB News.
Michael McManus ran Sir Edward Heath’s private office between 1995 and 2000. He is the author of several biographies and his latest play, “Party Games”, will be on a UK tour in May and June this year.

There is no parking at Arundells or the Medieval Hall, we recommend using city centre car parks.
Please note that The Medieval Hall is fully accessible to visitors with impaired mobility but it does not have wheelchair friendly toilet facilities. An accessible toilet will, however, be available at Arundells throughout the event.
All tickets are non refundable but you are very welcome to pass them on to friends or family if you are unable to attend.
