During Arundells’ winter closure, join our Curator for a unique behind-the-scenes exploration of Sir Edward Heath’s former home.

Go beyond the rooms normally open to visitors and discover hidden areas of the house, including the collection store, wine cellar, attic spaces and Sir Edward Heath’s former panic room. Along the way, you’ll encounter artefacts and objects rarely seen by the public, offering fresh insights into the history of the house and its collections.

These small-group tours provide a fascinating introduction to the work of a museum curator. Learn how historic objects are cared for, conserved, researched and catalogued, and discover the challenges involved in preserving a nationally significant historic house for future generations. Throughout the tour, there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and explore the stories behind the collections.

Whether you are interested in history, museums, conservation, or simply curious to see the hidden side of Arundells, these tours offer a rare opportunity to experience the house in a completely different light.

Please note: Tours include narrow corridors, steep staircases and areas not normally accessible to visitors.

Maximum six participants per tour. Advance booking is essential.

All tickets are non-refundable but you are very welcome to pass them on to friends or family if you are unable to attend.
