Over fifty years, he has gained unrivalled access to the secret chambers of Westminster and Whitehall and filmed and interviewed ten former Prime Ministers from Harold Macmillan to Boris Johnson.

On 10th October, we are delighted to be welcoming the legendary broadcaster and Britain’s most celebrated TV documentary-maker to Arundells. In conversation with the historian Tom Chidwick, Michael will be reflecting on his fifty year career in political television, discussing his new book Unmasking Our Leaders, and showing unseen clips from his interviews with the great and the good of British politics and public life.

In addition to telling us about his encounters with Edward Heath, Michael will explain how he has managed to lull some of the most wary people in the land into candour and provide a compelling insight into what politicians as different as Margaret Thatcher, Tony Blair, and Boris Johnson are really like.

When: Tuesday 10th October. Doors open from 7.00pm, the talk will start promptly at 7.30pm.
